University of Maryland Global Campus Joins SkillsWave
Global Education Provider Focused on Adult Learners Is Now Part of the SkillsWave Education Network
[KITCHENER & ADELPHI, MARYLAND, September 24, 2024] SkillsWave, an upskilling company that provides a network of high-quality education options to propel businesses and their employees forward, announced today that University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is a new partner. This collaboration will start with the launch of several undergraduate certificates targeted toward adult learners, a popular demographic of SkillsWave corporate partners. The certificates will include Data Analytics, HR People Analytics, Leadership, Cloud Computing and Accounting. The university will also be offering its Master of Business Administration.
UMGC’s online courses present flexible options for working adults looking to grow their careers. Each certificate draws on the expertise of the university’s respected faculty, exploring and applying fundamental knowledge in ways that foster career development.
With adult learners having become a large demographic in higher education, having programs targeting their diverse needs is crucial. UMGC was founded over 75 years ago with the specific goal of meeting the higher education needs of working adults. UMGC understands the unique needs of adult learners, providing online classes that allow flexibility to study at their own pace and on their own time. UMGC has also implemented no-cost digital course materials to replace almost all textbooks.
