Canadian Marketing Association Partners with SkillsWave to Advance Marketing Capabilities

Partnership Expands Access to Marketing Expertise That Supports Workforce Readiness and Business Growth

[TORONTO, ONTARIO, July 28, 2026] – SkillsWave, a workforce intelligence platform, today announced a partnership with the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA), the voice of marketing in Canada. Through the partnership, organizations will gain access to CMA’s industry-recognized marketing certificate programs through SkillsWave, helping employers strengthen capabilities across areas including digital marketing, marketing leadership, branding, privacy, customer experience, and emerging technologies.

As artificial intelligence, evolving customer expectations, and changing privacy requirements continue to reshape the marketing profession, organizations are facing growing pressure to understand the capabilities they need and build the workforce required to stay competitive. By combining CMA’s marketing expertise with SkillsWave’s skills intelligence, workforce insights, and curated learning pathways, the partnership helps organizations identify marketing capability gaps, align development with business priorities, and create a clearer line of sight from learning to workforce readiness.

“AI is changing not only the tools marketers use, but the capabilities organizations need to compete,” said Nick Oddson, President of SkillsWave. “The organizations that succeed will be those that can quickly identify emerging capability needs and develop them at scale. Our partnership with the Canadian Marketing Association gives employers access to trusted expertise that helps build the marketing capabilities needed to remain competitive in a rapidly changing environment.”

CMA’s online marketing certificate courses are developed by leading marketers from across Canada and are available in both self-paced and instructor-led formats. The programs provide practical, industry-informed learning experiences that help professionals build expertise they can apply directly within their organizations while supporting broader workforce capability goals.

“The pace of change in marketing continues to accelerate, creating new opportunities and new expectations for both professionals and organizations,” said Dr. Jeffrey O’Leary, Chief Learning Officer at the Canadian Marketing Association. “Through our partnership with SkillsWave, we’re expanding access to trusted marketing expertise and practical learning experiences that help organizations strengthen critical marketing capabilities and prepare for the future.”
